We live in an ever changing world that requires all sorts of items to be shipped from country to country 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. One of the ways to transport mass amount of goods is through cargo containers. But what happens to old empty cargo containers? The oldest ones that are no longer useable cost too much to be transported back to their original country. It is cheaper for companies to just buy a new shipping container and leave the old one at the destination country. Sooner or later, the cargo containers start stacking up and take up space.

One solution for this phenomenon is to use these storage containers to build houses. They are low cost, durable and provide modular elements that can be combined to create larger modules.
