Attending a university is one of the biggest life changes for young adults. Balancing school, a social life, and sleep is easier said than done. However, staying organized can help make busy college lives much more manageable. Follow these organizational tips for a stress-free college experience.

1) Organize your closet. If your closet is a mess, you can waste valuable minutes searching for clothes to wear. By keeping your closet organized you will save a lot of time in the long run. Believe me, you are going to want that extra ten minutes of sleep before your 8am.

2) Keep a planner or a calendar. This is crucial especially if you are involved in other organizations. Visualizing when papers and assignments are due, when midterms and finals are, as well as weekly commitments-- is extremely helpful.

3) Develop a weekly schedule. Make sure to fit in working out as well as personal time. Before you know it, your schedule will become second nature.

4) Make a to-do list if you are feeling overwhelmed. Writing down everything you have to do in a day gives you a better sense of how to plan your time accordingly, which makes it more likely that you will complete all of your tasks.
